  • Weta Workshop a special effects company from New Zealand renowned for its work in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong, Avatar to name a few, sent aa full-scale, articulated Portal turret, complete with a motion sensor to Valve.
    Hooked up to a computer, the turret identifies targets, flashes and “fires” its guns, and even delivers the mournful “goodbye” on shutdown. Delightful. Also: jealous.
