• Apple to post online notice letting Samsung off the patent-infringement hook

  • Apple and Samsung have been battling out patent wars since quite a while now and the makers of the iPad recently lost a case filed against Samsung, blaming the South Korean manufacturer of copying its tablet designs in Britain. With the court case lost, a British judge has ordered the American manufacturer Apple to post a formal notice on its website and in British newspapers stating that the Galaxy Tab isn’t really a replica of the iPad, simply because the Samsung device “isn’t cool enough!” Call that taking sides if you will, the post will remain online for the next six months. Also, Samsung seems ever-pleased with its latest victory and has recently stated that Apple’s suing of companies for replicating generic designs could indeed harm the market and seriously turn off consumers!
