Audi unveils intelligent Matrix LED headlights

Brighter headlights have always been a nightmare for oncoming traffic. Keeping the comfort of other drivers on the road in mind, Audi recently pulled the veil off these revolutionary LED headlights at the CES 2013. Called the Matrix LED headlight, these headlights enable Audi drivers to make use of the headlight at full beam without dazzling drivers coming from the opposite direction. The system works with a new LED lamp array technology and a front facing camera.

As a car approaches, the Audi recognizes oncoming traffic and switches off a section of the headlight beam, reducing strain on the oncoming driver and making visibility better. These headlights will begin rolling out of factories on Audi cars later in 2013.
