Barnes & Noble bring touch-sensitivity to new Nook at $139
Barnes & Noble have upped the taking stakes for their beloved monopoly, the Nook. The device will have touch-sensitivity as one of its main strong points. Additionally, it will also have a Pearl E Ink screen with 80% less flashing during page turns. The interface is said to have gotten cleaner with the reduction of 37 buttons on it. Other features on the new Nook include a redesigned home screen, FastPage Zoom forward, Android 2.1, 2GB data storage plus a microSD expansion slot, Wi-Fi radio, a light and thin body and a rubber back that helps grip and a better tangible experience.
The new Nook may lack 3G but it has a lot more to show for itself. It will be shipped to customers from June 10th onwards. For now, you can pre-order it from BestBuy, Walmart, Books-A-Million, and Staples, for $139.
