• BlackBerry’s BBX platform renamed to BlackBerry 10

  • Research in Motion seems to have had a change of heart, and has rechristened its next generation platform to BlackBerry 10. Previously known as BBX, the new platform will be referred to as BlackBerry 10, with the kickoff of the BlackBerry DevCon Asia. Also, the move seems to have been put into place after BASIS International decided to sue RIM for use of the name BBX, and has won a restraining order against the makers of the BlackBerry handheld, preventing from using the name for the upcoming platform. Also, nomenclature apart, the BlackBerry 10 seems to be Research in Motions effort on climbing above the competition it has been facing lately.
