• Casio shows off G-Shock GB6900AA with Bluetooth, iPhone connectivity

    • You want everything to be connected to your iPhone if you own one. Just why we have apps that heat water for you before you get home, set the temperature for you and even study your sleeping patterns. So why not have something that can be controlled via your iPhone, in your G-Shock watch? Casio has introduced the G-Shock GB6900AA series that will pack Bluetooth connectivity while ensuring energy conservation. It’s a given fact that Bluetooth is a power hogger but the GB6900AA series leverages Bluetooth Low Energy BLE to ensure it doesn’t run the battery dry too soon. In fact, it runs on an ordinary watch battery for two years. The G-Shock+ application is available for download from the App Store, and helps use your iPhone with your smart watch.

    Other specifications of the G-Shock GB6900AA include a countdown timer, 1/100th second stopwatch, an LED super illuminator, five daily alarms, a mute feature, world time zones, shock/water resistance up to 200 meters, iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1 and 6.0) and iPhone 5 compatibility.
