• Epiphany One Puck charges phones with chilled beer or hot coffee

  • There is a heaven, I believe, and an almighty there who has blessed us with minds that go beyond comprehensive description. This is what has inspired the likes of the Epiphany One Pack project. This Kickstarter initiative is capable of charging your mobile phone with the power of hot and cold drinks. What’s more is that it doubles up as a coaster as well. It makes use of a Stirling engine that charges your phone based on the temperature of the beverage you place on its hot (red) or cold (blue) surface. The idea is novel and will offer geeks some good time away from their many accessories and closer to the bar. Now even a 4-hour binge session wouldn’t juice your smartphone out. A perfect world, is it not?

Epiphany aims to raise $100,000 on Kickstarter to convert the prototype into a real gadget. Those pledging early will gain from a $99 price. The regular price of the Puck is a good $115.
