Evonik Kite-powered Electric Car traverses Australia using under AUD15 electricity
Fuel isn’t always renewable and for that which cannot be remade we need sustainable substitutes. One such energy is wind and the Evonik Kite-powered Electric Car joins the league of eco-friendly electric/hybrid cars that join the revolution. In fact, the car has covered 5,000 kilometers in its quest across Australia, utilizing under AUD15 in electricity. The vehicle is operated by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries capable of being powered by a mobile wind turbine, thus producing enough energy to travel 280-360 kilometers a day. It is constructed from ‘Rohacell’ Sandwich Carbon Fiber, that keeps it light.

The Evonik Kite-powered Electric Car can travel up to 400 km in temperatures of up to 60 degrees celcius.
