• Facebook gets location-smart with ‘Facebook Places’

  • Facebook Places
CEO of Facebook, the world’s most used social network, Mark Zuckerberg, has introduced Facebook Places that will pretty much be the best way to see who’s where. Yeah, you guessed it right; it’s the new location service by the site. The application will also be available on touchscreen phones in the form of a mobile site, that’s specially customized for advanced smartphones and geolocation on HTML 5. The good news is that Android and BlackBerry versions are in the works.

It seems that the service will cater even to those who are outside the US. If you’re worried about the security then there’s already something done about it. Facebook know what your first concern will be and they address it before they announce any new development. Definitely, location tracking will be something of concern.
