Fujifilm S1000fd is the world’s smallest 12x zoom camera

Increasing their FinePix ‘S’ range, Fujifilm is introducing the S1000fd, which is a budget-priced SLR-styled ‘big zoom’ compact. The S1000fd is also said to be the world’s smallest digital camera with a 12x optical zoom (33-396mm equiv.). However it features no optical stabilization (only high ISO), it also includes a 2.7-inch LCD, electronic viewfinder, face detection, 2cm macro, sensitivity up to ISO 3200 and a new panorama shooting mode. The 10-Megapixel FinePix S1000fd features automatic red-eye removal, ISO levels of up to ISO 1600, Picture Stabilisation Mode, Full manual photographic control, xD/SD/SD-HC compatible slot, Real Photo Technology and 14 Pre-programmed scene modes.
There is no word on pricing or availability of the Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd.
