What took them so long, some would wonder. But then it’s better earlier than not to have a Google Glass release that helps users who are bound to prescription glasses. It’s been a long time coming but those who are subjected to wearing glasses will now be able to leverage the advantages of Google Glass 2. The glass will also include a mono ear-bud that will most likely take the place of the bone conduction speaker that’s had its share of discomforts to offer. It goes without saying that audiophiles would not really celebrate the Mono aspect. Google Glass users, a.k.a. Google Explorers, will get three invites to the Glass program so that they can infect up to three accomplices with it. Existing users will have to keep refreshing their email page to make sure that they do not miss out on an update, as and when it comes. The trade-in program is expected to commence by this November.
The best part of the whole deal is that the eager “Glass Explorers,” will be able to “swap out” their existing Google Glass units for the new version.
