• Hacker uses 3D printer to create handcuff key!

  • While the security industry still relies heavily on handcuffs to keep the nimble-fingered tied down, we’ve just come across a technological breakthrough that could pretty much make those restraining devices not-so-secure! A German hacker has paved the way to creating handcuff keys using 3D printers and laser-cutters. Using the plastic key, the hacker named “Ray” managed to quickly unlock a Bonowi and a Chubb handcuff, both of which are considered secure. This could lead to a substantial security threat given that most handcuffs operate with a masterkey distributed to every police officer. Replicating this masterkey could simply unlock just about every handcuff on earth, turning the world criminally insane!
