Heineken have tied up with Raymond Loewy of the Coca-Cola fame and Mark Newson to create something many avid beer drinkers would describe as their very own Holy Grail. At work for over two and a half years, the team has finally rolled out what they call, The Sub. Newson describes it as a giant pressurized vessel and a male-oriented object made of anodized aluminum. All users have to do is invest a little more in buying things called ‘Torps’ (basically metal cylinders with brew inside) and then load them into The Sub. The latter cools the beer down to 2-degrees Celsius. This, is apparently colder than what your fridge could cool the drink down to.
As of now, the company offers only affiliated beers including Desperados, Baffo D’Oro and Affligem. Then, to decorate beer drinking in itself, we have props in the form of the Sub Case. This comprises of a handsome aluminum bucket that comes loaded with five Heine glasses, five aluminum coasters lined with a silicon non-slip base and an aluminum beer skimmer. Homer Simpson better get rich and soon!
