HORI HP3-87 is first PS3 Slim Dock with built in 720p LCD panel for the gamer on the go

HORI is one of the bigger names in the game accessory’s category and one of their latest gizmos is for the PS3. The HP3-87 is a sort of docking station for your PS3 Slim. It’s loaded with a flip-open 11.6-inch LCD display that sports a 1,366 × 768 resolution. For the Japanese users and they’re probably the only guys who are ever going to see this anyway, the HP3-87 portable display unit is fully compatible with the DVR/TV tuner, Torne that Sony designed for the PS3 awhile back. The display is capable of displaying images in a 720p resolution, that’s as HD as it can get.
As an added bonus the HP3-87 also comes with a stereo speaker, built-in, not one but two headphone jacks, (so you can play co-op on that small a screen????) and it supports component/ multi-AV out interfaces and can switch between NTSC and Pal. This display attachment is headed for Japan and should be there by the end of May. It’ll be priced at about $280 (USD) or 26,040 Yen. I’d buy it.
