iPad boosts students performance says ACU
iPad is finding use everywhere. Right from in-flight management to luxurious frills to hotel guests, iPad is fast becoming omnipresent, so much that people just can’t enough and have begun to use it as a hat accessory. The tablet is now catching up with the education sector and recent research suggests that students with iPad as an aid to learning registered higher levels of performance.

The study was conducted by the ACU Connected mobile learning program at Abilene Christian University. It suggested that students who annotated text on their iPads scored 25% higher on questions regarding information transfer than their paper-based peers. Another study concluded that the tablet helped students make better use of their time. Though the results cannot be generalized for all the learners, by large the study indicated a lot of advantages for using iPad as an aid to learning. The tablet is now catching up with the education sector, especially in online degree programs, and recent research suggests that students with iPad as an aid to learning registered higher levels of performance. I think it is going to be just a matter of time before iPad becomes.
