iPhone 4S launch in China see thousands lineup outside Apple stores
Be it China or USA, herd of fans lining up outside Apple stores doesn’t surprise us anymore. In fact, we have seen the Chinese folks go an extra mile when it comes to showcasing their love for Apple; like the time we told you about a 17-year old selling off his kidney to buy an iPad 2 and a desperate bachelorette offering an iPad to anybody who helps her find Mr.Right. This time the story is a bit conventional. Thousands lined up hours before the iPhone 4S was set to go on sale. The images here show Apple’s two stores in Beijing and three in Shanghai with hundreds of people lined up at each.

To avoid chaos and help enthusiastic buyers, most stores resorted to a ticketing system. The device is being sold through Apple’s only carrier partner, China Unicom, which is offering a heavy subsidy on the iPhone 4S at launch. Chinese subscribers can get this handset for free with a new multi-year service contract by shelling out as little as $45 per month.
