Leikr GPS sports watch brings adds color to every direction
A sports watch with GPS capabilities is simply overkill. Now, with the Leikr GPS watch coming in color, the prospect seems even more exciting. Constructed by a team of former Nokia engineers, the watch manages faster GPS capabilities and a seamless user interface, thus making it a likely candidate for popularity. The mapping is sourced from OpenStreetMap and shown off on the two-inch display. This helps users track where they’re headed and also enable them with information on pace, speed, heart rate, distance, elapsed time and calories burned. Wi-Fi connectivity puts you in touch with data from the company’s portal. You can set routines and get feedback on the go.
It may strap around at 10.5 mm thick and weight just 55 grams but the idea is larger than life. The team is raising funds on Kickstarter with the goal of reaching $250,000 by June. Unfortunately the $149 and $229 options are sold out, but you can still pre-order a Leikr with a pledge of $279.
