• LG unveils the world’s first Full HD 5-inch smartphone display

  • Smartphones could soon sport some serious bits of eye-candy, with LG Display’s latest release sculpted out for mobile devices. In essence a Full HD LCD 5-inch screen, the first of its type in the world, this one sports the highest resolution for a mobile-phone screen today. The display allows users to access Full HD content on the go and is based on AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching) technology with 440 ppi and a 1920 x 1080 resolution, more than Apple’s much bragged-about Retina Display technology. With a 16:9 aspect ratio, this industry leading display by LG could very well turn smartphones of the near future into visual treats!
