Logitech may be better known for its computer peripherals but it is slowly and steadily building up its music system empire as well. After the Logitech Pure-Fi Dream bedroom music system for the iPod, they have now come out with the Pure-Fi Anywhere speakers that dock, charge and play the iPod via the Universal Dock Connector. Compact and portable, the system’s speakers come with rechargeable battery plus a battery indicator. The travel case that comes along with the system sports an improved design. The speakers come with a remote control that make tasks like volume control, skip etc. easy and at your fingertips. Logitech says that on a full charge the batteries of the speaker system last for ten hours, that really yummy! Quality music pipes in through the 2-inch Max-X high excursion drivers with neodymium magnets. To minimize distortion there are 3-inch pressure drivers in the system.
The new travel case holds the speakers, a power adapter and the remote plus you can squeeze in the Nano as well. The system measures3.6 ” x 13.2″ x 1.5″, it weighs in at just 1.6 pounds. Pure-Fi Anywhere portable speaker system for the iPod will retail in the US and Europe beginning September for $149.99.
