The Lowel Ego Light is a compact, easy to use light source for photography of products. It is designed with the hobbyist in mind. The Ego is quick to assemble, folds away easily and gives pretty good results when it comes to lighting. Why is it so good? Because you will get the most flattering results in photography when your light source is really big. The Ego stimulates all this using compact fluorescent bulbs behind a curved translucent plastic sheet. The plastic diffuses the light and makes it soft.

The Ego uses two 27W 5500 K CF tubes with daylight colored lights. The tubes have a life expectancy of 5000-10000 hours. It can sit on a table or can be attached to a tripod. It costs around US $137.50 rrp or US $89.90 at Amazon US.
