• Luke and Leia birds tease us with Angry Birds Star Wars gameplay

    • Merge the best of the one of the most popular games with the most successful Hollywood franchise and the result is Angry Birds Star Wars. The Luke bird wielding a light saber is catapulted against a laser spewing Imperial Walker against the backdrop of Tatooine. Rovio has not revealed much in the video but from what we can see it looks damn neat and a definite treat for Angry Birds and Star Wars fans alike.

    “This is the best Angry Birds game we’ve ever done. It’s the best parts of Angry Birds with all new cutting-edge gameplay set in a galaxy far, far away,” said Peter Vesterbacka, CMO of Rovio. “As a big Star Wars fan myself, I’m really excited about this new universe. The Force is definitely strong with this one.”

    Angry Birds Star Wars will be released on November 8 on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Kindle Fire, Mac, PC, and Windows 8.
