• McDonald’s QR-enabled packages will offer nutrition information

  • It’s been a while since McDonald’s really took an effort to bring innovation to the way they present their delicious offerings. Now, however we have nothing to complain with this cool innovation that the company plans to execute across global touch-points They are pioneering new carry-out bags and fountain beverage cups, which feature QR codes. Scanning these will take you to a page that offers nutrition information and undeniable brainwash on how awesome McD’s is. The campaign will change faces of packages throughout 2013 and will see translations in 18 languages.

    McDonald’s Chief Brand Officer, Kevin Newell states, “Our new packaging is designed to engage with customers in relevant ways and celebrate our brand. Customers tell us they want to know more about the food they are eating and we want to make that as easy as possible by putting this information right at their fingertips.”
