Meteorite piece hits San Francisco Bay area
A few days ago, the people of San Francisco Bay area witnessed a fiery ball shoot across the heavens. No, this wasn’t one of God’s legions fire-balling his way down to earth. And this certainly wasn’t Iron Man crash landing. In fact, this giant fireball landed on earth and was later reported to be a meteorite. Recovered by a resident named Lisa Webber, the meteorite measures in at just 2 inches and is part of a larger mass that was seen in the sky.

The meteorite piece was examined by scientist Peter Jenniskens from the Seti Institute in Mountain View California to check for authenticity. Jenniskens confirmed this black rock to be a piece of the said meteorite. And yes, this discovery by Webber is more than just a lucky find that’ll land up in her showcase. The rock’s path will be tracked and a trajectory will be created for the same!
