MixTape Table celebrates 50 years of the cassette
Times have gone by and not many of us look to hoard the good old cassette tapes, so that our coming generations can make millions of them as antiques. Yet, the legacy of the cassette is still celebrated. The 50th anniversary of the tape has now gotten itself a new tribute, in the form of the MixTape Table. This is a 12:1 replica of the real cassette tape and is made of high-grade Baltic Birch Plywood with Maple veneer. solid American Walnut “tape” throughout, and a hand-rubbed oil finish.

The JSD Team in Seattle hand-assembles each of these coffee tables, which are built to order. Being reversible makes it more authentic. The sides A and B are stamped and numbered. It would be a fitting tribute for even the common man but the $4950 price tag can scare even some big collectors away.
