Movements in Time watches depict scenes from history and contemporary society

by Gavril Mankoo

Watch-making is an art indeed. Using watches to create thoughtful pieces of art takes a lot more than a creative mind. Artist Dominic Wilcox’s Movements in Time pieces prove just that. These beautifully thought-provoking time pieces are created to depict events that have long been forgotten down history’s lane. With figurines mounted on the watch hands, the collection includes the UC Davis Protest incident, the Love and Protest watch sporting a sign-holding protestor and a soldier kissing, the Captured watch with a bunch of CCTV cameras depicting our ever-exposed lives of people in London today and a lot more.
