Nemo 33, the world’s deepest swimming pool holds 660,500 gallons of water
Remember how we’d keep away from the deeper parts of the swimming pool in our younger days? Well, here’s a pool even full grown adults would shy away from, the deepest in the world and probably the most terrifying too. Measuring 113 feet deep, this extremely deep pool called the Nano 33 resides in Brussels, Belgium and holds nearly 660,500 gallons of water! Sporting platforms of various depths and a circular pit going down 33 meters, this pool also sports underwater caves and packs three pressurized rooms at -30 (-10metres) and -23metres (-7metres) with constantly renewed air for divers who wish to spend longer minutes near the bottom. Designed by Belgian diving expert John Beernaerts and certainly not a pool you’d want your young one to begin treading water in, the Nemo 33 is currently being used for multi-purpose diving instruction, recreation and film production.
