• Netflix to offer only-streaming option for $8 a month

  • 02233Netflix have made a major adjustment in their pricing structure by introducing a no-DVD option for users who would go for only streaming. To supplement this, they have increased the streaming+DVD rentals by $1 to $8 depending on the number of DVDs you plan to subscribe for, monthly. So if you had a 1 DVD plan the price goes up by $1 and if you had an 8 DVD plan then it would go up by $8. This seems to be Netflix’s solution to cater to and offer the service of unlimited television episodes via mail (DVD) and with streaming.

Hulu, the notable competitor for Netflix, dropped the price of their cheapest offering by a dollar last week. Netflix seems to have matched them in the lowest price battle with this move.
