  • nintendo ds touch1At Nintendo’s mangement policy meeting held in Tokyo Saturo Iwata talked about the Nintendo DS sales with 8.4 million units shipping in 18 months. The DS Lite has also been a huge success with 2 million units shipping in just 2 months. However apart from sales data the most interesting part is this – Nintendo’s next gen console the Wii can communicate with the DS wirelessly but the DS can also be used as a touchscreen controller for the Wii said Saturo. Nitendo still rules the portable gaming market in the USA with the GBA at 40 %, PSP at 32% and the DS gaining at 28 %.
