• Nissan develops human-skin-like materials for car interiors

  • Nissan has been known to give the automotive world some ground-breaking developments before. The automaker is now working on new materials that will give your car a better feel, literally. The engineers at Nissan are currently developing a new plastic that somewhat replicates the touch of human skin, in the hope of giving cars of the future a more humane and luxurious touch!

Currently, most cars in the mass-market use plastics for the interiors. Other luxurious materials like leather are too expensive for use in lower end cars, causing car manufacturers to at times settle with tacky materials. This could however change with Nissan’s newest development that gives the human touch a sense of soft luxury!
