• Nokia researchers develop RADAR technology for mobiles, not for cops, for everyone

  • nokia RADAR mobile technology
One of the many next steps in mobile technology is it’s usage with RADAR. The guys down at Nokia Research Center (NRC) Helsinki recently showed off a new concept that would enable a mobile handset to measure an object’s distance, speed, and direction. While it may seem like something traffic cops would find real handy for speedsters, the technology has awesome potential for mobile control. The technology will allow users to control things like the volume on your mobile with simple gestures. It will also enable us to judge the speed of things moving towards or away from us. Gesture control is already becoming quite a big deal in the mobile world and things just got better as manufacturers are constantly trying to come up with better ways of interacting with mobile devices.
