• NTT Docomo unveils graphic outline the history of mobile phones

  • The smartphones we use today have come a long way indeed. These mobile communication devices started life as chunky pieces of technology, too large to actually carry around or slip into one’s pocket. Gradually, as technology advanced, mobile phones turned more ergonomic, slimmer and easier to use. Recently, Japanese communication company NTT Docomo unveiled this well-detailed graphic that portrays the evolution of the mobile phone.

The graphic was designed to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. And that’s not all. An exhibition has also been organized to commemorate the occasion. The exhibition is currently on display at the Tokyo’s Designers Week, giving the younger generations of today a peek at just what the first mobile phones looked like.
