Official 1966 Batmobile Replica is fully functional

With so much of buzz about the next edition of the Dark Knight movie we shouldn’t be too surprised to see some really cool bat-stuff being released every now and then. The Official 1966 Batmobile Replica is for real and one that you can take for a spin on New Year’s eve, putting all the other revelers to shame. Of course it isn’t too harmful to bad guys who flood our streets. It packs a 3.5 liter GM350 Crate engine and a rocket exhaust flamethrower. That’s as dangerous as you can get. Other features include a flashing red beacon, roll-top dashboard doors, a Bat Phone, Batbeam Antenna grid and a glowing Detect-a-Scope radar screen to sex it up inside. The 280-horsepower engine will go from dead to 60 in five seconds, with a top speed of 90mph.

Nine miles to a gallon may be quite expensive but then you’re going to be spending $188,000 on it anyway.
