Olympus TG-1 iHS camera is tough and sturdy
Olympus seems all set to have shutterbugs go wide-eyed and jaw dropped, and has pulled the veil off its latest flagship, the Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS. A step away from the conventional point-and-shoot or just about any non-DSLR compact camera for that matter, the TG-1 comes with a high-speed bright f2.0 lens and is waterproof up to 12 meters and shockproof up to 2 meters. Capable of withstanding temperatures at -10°C/14°F, this camera can also resist crushes with weights of up to 100 kg/220lbs. complete with dustproof hardware, the TG-1 comes with a maximum shutter speed of 1/2000 and a 12 megapixel BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS sensor topped with a TruePi VI image processor.

Capable of capturing 1080p Full HD Videos and sporting a 4X optical zoom and a 8x digital zoom, the new TG-1 comes with a 3-inch high resolution OLED display and will be priced at $399.99, hitting store-shelves in June.
