Panasonic 103 inch Plasma TV pricing announced

Panasonic Japan will start selling the Viera PZ600 range of HDTV’s from September in Japan. The crown of the Viera PZ600 series is TH-103PZ600 the mammoth 103 inch Plasma. Four models will be launched with the following sizes 50″, 58″ 65″ and 103″ which share the same features like 1920 x 1080 resolution, 16:9 image ratio, 4000:1 contrast ratio, Analog / Digital tuner and 16 bit image processing. Now for the pricing the TH-103PZ600 will be available by September 1st in Japan for a staggering 6000,000 ($ 51,000). With over 5000 units to be manufactured for sale worldwide it is sure to find a place in every millionaires home.
Update – Panasonic USA has announced that the 103 incher will be available in the USA by December 2006 for $ 70,000.

The TH-50PZ600 – 50″ will be available for 690,000 ($ 5800), TH-58PZ600 – 56″ for 850,000 ($ 7200), TH-65PZ600 – 65″ for 990,000 ($ 5400). Panasonic is taking advance order for all models except the 103 incher as it yet to undergo final tests.
