Philips ColorReach Powercore is world’s first LED fixture for large scale facades and structures

Most of us would have seen massive buildings where they are floodlighted with huge lights to make them more stunning or attractive. Have you imagined how much power will be consumed? Well Philips as made the first LED fixture powerful enough to illuminate large-scale facades and structures, named as the Philips ColorReach Powercore. It is a high performance architectural floodlight which can project over 500 feet but will use only 70% less power than those power guzzling metal halide fixtures. This technology made a very high profile appearance at Super Bowl XLIII. Multiple fixtures were used to illuminate Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It also helped to save a massive 48,000 watts of power when compared to conventional lightings.
