Gamers tend to be a slightly ‘off-beat’ bunch people who don’t usually think like the regular Joe’s and Harry’s. And although the gaming industry has evolved to great heights in the last decade, nostalgia for the games that help mould the industry are always making their appearance. For example, Doom has always been a fond favourite for many gamers who grew up with the games of that era, and as a tribute some developers decided to merge a musical instrument with their favourite old school game. Check out the video below.
Enter the Doom Piano, set up for the connoisseur of the arts and the ardent gaming fan. The keys of the piano have been fashioned to work as directional and action buttons for the game that can be played via a display strapped to the front of the instrument. Just think of it as an alternative keyboard. Of course you’ll have to be extremely skilled at both to make a decent tune while killing demons, or, on the downside, just annoy the heck out of your neighbours by banging on the keys depending on the direction or action you wish use. If you thought games were noisy before, you ain’t heard nothing yet!
