• Qihoo AK47 – A Chinese smartphone with a Retina display?

    • I wonder if the quirky name is going to make a dent to Apple and Samsung’s cash register. AK47, for god’s sake? Chinese software company Qihoo 360 will be launching the a so called budget phone with a 4.5 inch Retina display named after the infamous Russian assault rifle. Coming to the specs it will have a 4.5-inch Retina display with 1280×720 resolution (326ppi), 1GB RAM, 4GB storage expandable via Micro SD card, dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor at 1.2 Ghz the same as Google Nexus, 5 megapixel camera and above all it will run on ICS 4.0. The phone will sell this month for 1,699 RMB ($274).
