• Retro Typewriters Revamped Into USB Keyboards

  • usb typewriter ipad
Unlikely to be a major hit in the world of typing or technology, retro typewriters reinvented as USB keyboards are the latest thing to hit the shelves of internet shopping. USB typewriters are the brainchild of Jack Zylkin, who takes old typewriters and makes them look a bit sexier, by sticking USB screens on them. USB typewriters are compatible with Macs, PCs and even iPads. So, if you are nostalgic for the clickety-clack of typewriter keys and love retro-techno fashion, check out Jack’s online usbtypewriter’s Etsy shop.

A handmade USB typewriter will set you back about $400 to $500. Alternately, you can get Jack to reincarnate your old typewriter from $200. If you want to try out your DIY skills, a converter kit costs between $75 and $150.
