Roboy Humanoid is yet to receive skin touch up, still looks cool
Some call him the junior Terminator. Others, a futuristic house-keep. But to us he totally looks like a promising new Bicentennial Man, ready with the best capabilities to learn our ways and live with it. The Roboy Humanoid is a new take on robots, making them less mature-looking and lighter to the mind and eye. Designed by the University of Zurich, the robot hails from the Artificial Intelligence Lab there and a few nuts and bolts to be tightened. The developers claim that this mechanical genius is still in the works and we should soon see it receive a touch up of human-like skin. Additionally, it is also rigged with artificial tendons to make movement more fluid and human-like.

A unique method that the developers implemented, to raise funds for this robot is to sell ad space on its very being. This means that the bot could well be a moving-around signboard. We hope that the selling out part doesn’t eclipse the greater good that the robot stands for.
