Safari 4 downloaded 11 million times in 3 days

Apple is very proud of its Safari 4 Web Browser when it was formally launched at the WWDC conference and it has been downloaded 11 million times in just 3 days. Ofcourse there is no doubt that this was because of the push the browser was given by Apple out to Mac users via software update, but apart from this the company claims that it has been downloaded six million times and this was just by Windows users. The Safari 4 is based on the Webkit browser engine which also serves as the base for Google Chrome Web browser. It is also the only browser that has passed the Acid 3 rendering test. The Safari 4 offers a Cover Flow similar to iTunes and the Mac OS X Leopard Finder that lets users to flip back and forth pages to the find the one they want. The Safari 4 is also due to pick up a speed boost running as a 64-bit application under Mac OS X Snow Leopard which will be due later this year.
