Samsung Gear Solo Smartwatch rumoured to be released at the IFA
Speculations are around the corner that Samsung is going to unveil the new Samsung Gear Solo at IFA which is being held in Berlin from 5th to 10th of September. It will be launched alongside Samsung Note Galaxy S4. As the name suggests, the smartwatch Samsung Galaxy Solo will be a standalone device, which means it will run on its own without a phone. It will have its own embedded SIM and a number. You will be able to make and receive calls, send and receive text messages, and browse the internet without having any Bluetooth connection with a smart device. So, it will be easy to take calls when you are travelling or playing a sport.
The smartwatch technology is not new as many Chinese smartwatches with cheaper prices have already been released. Besides, Tech giants like Motorola and LG will also be launching Moto 360 and G watch respectively. But, a big brand like Samsung will be the first one to launch this smartwatch. Whether it will be a success or not, we will have to wait and watch.
