• Samsung Q1 Ultra Mobile PC

  • samsung q11The buzzword since the past weeks was Origami, which Microsoft defines as an Ultra Mobile PC running Tablet and Microsoft touch pack (a suite of apps and utilities meant to optimize using Windows by touch, and not necessarily only by stylus). The Samsung Q1 is a paperback-book sized portable computer running on Windows XP. It features a 7 inch touch screen, 40GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 and GPS. The Samsung Q1 includes the innovative Origami touch interface which places on screen circular keyboards near the user’s thumbs. The Q1 measures 9 x 5.5 x 1-inch and weighs only 779 grams (1.7 pound). When released there will be add ons for Digital TV (DMB) etc.


    The Samsung Q1 pricing and availability is not known yet.
