Smart clothes to keep you healthy
A range of comfortable clothing is being developed that will monitor the user’s heart, breathing and body temperature promising to revolutionize healthcare by reducing hospital visits and also allowing patients to lead more active lives. A European team has embedded sensing devices directly into textiles, creating garments that are not only smart but also comfortable and smart to wear. Data from these biosignals is then sent via mobile connection to caregivers that will allow doctors to check up on their patients and warn them if their health is in bad shape.
