• Sony announces 3 new ‘extra bass’ headphones in Japan

  • Yes, we all dig bass. That’s what gives the Sony XB series its fans. The company has just blessed Japan with three new models in this line. All three units pack Sony’s Advanced Direct Vibe Structure. The MDR-XB30EX is the cheapest with a plastic housing and 13.5mm driver unit, followed by the MDR-XB60EX with the same unit but ABS White used in construction and finally the MDR-XB90EX with a 16mm driver unit and made of ABS and aluminium alloy. The prices are as follows: MDR-XB30EX ($62), MDR-XB60EX ($110), MDR-XB90EX ($156).
