• Sony unveils two new affordable Handycams, the full-frame NEX-VG900 and NEX-VG900

    Looking for the ideal way to capture the essence of life on film and use it for future reminiscing? Behold Sony’s latest release, the full-frame NEX-VG900 Handycam and the smaller APS-C NEX-VG30. While the former comes with a 24.3-megapixel Exmor sensor and is capable of grabbing 24-megapixel still pictures and 25p/24p progressive Full HD video with an optional 50p recording mode, the smaller NEX-VG30 packs a 16.1-megapixel APS-C sensor and uses E-mount lenses with Full HD video in 24p, 25p and 50p modes. Both sporting an XGA OLED viewfinder, a 3-inch touchscreen LCD and component/composite/S-Video/HDMI outputs and USB connectivity, these are priced at $3,299.95 body-only for the NEX-VG900 Handycam and $1,799.95 body-only for the NEX-VG30.
