Sony X-Series Wireless Bluetooth Speakers bring NFC to entertainment
Sony has introduced a new wave of entertainment in the form of the X-Series Wireless Bluetooth Speakers that come in portable sizes with flagship specifications. By this, we refer to the inclusion of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology that enables high fidelity sound streams from smartphones, tablets and computers that support the technology. All users have to do is tap an NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet to the portable speaker to instantly stream high-quality music or crystal-clear phone calls via Bluetooth. The speakers are available in four variants, namely, SRS-BTX500 (black), SRS-BTX300, (black and white), SRS-BTM8 (black) and the SRS-BTV5 (black, white and pink). Of these SRS-BTX500 and SRS-BTX300 include AptX and AAC Bluetooth codecs for high quality sound sound production while streaming wirelessly. Sony has also used the Magnetic Fluid technology, developed by NASA, to cause the removal of vibrations, which significantly cuts down the noise and distortion to make way for a clearer sound.

The Sony X-Series Wireless Bluetooth Speakers with NFC will be available in March. The prices for the models are as follows, SRS-BTX500 – $299, SRS-BTX300 – $199, SRS-BTM8 – $99, SRS-BTV5 – $69.
