• Sony announces the VPL-VW90ES 3D Home Projector

  • VPL HW20 Image21 450x352
You’re right, this is the first 3D Home Projector announced by Sony and where else but IFA 2010 to have to grand unveiling. Movie watchers can enjoy some amazing 3D movies thanks to this projector that will turn your home into a cinema hall. All you need with this is a pair of active shutter glasses (that are used with the company’s TV range) and enjoy the ‘natural’ 3D awesomeness. The model is to be called the VPL-VW90ES. The features include an upgraded SXRD 240Hz Panel for ‘crosstalk’ reduction, compatibility with 2D projection, 150,000:1 contrast ration thanks to Sony’s Advanced Iris 3 technology, low fan noise, customizable viewing experience with respect to the room and a simple setup.

The first Sony 3D Home Projector will be made available in Europe by November this year. As far as the US release is concerned, we’d have to wait for CEDIA.
