Sustainable BMW Olympic Pavilion over a waterfall to showcase company’s green tech
At the China Olympics Nest stadium was the eye-catcher and at the London Olympics BMW’s Olympic Pavilion promises to be the show stopper. Olympic Pavilion by Serie Architects is built on an elevated platform above the Waterworks River between the Olympic Stadium and the Aquatics Centre. The pavilion inspired by Victorian summer bandstands is built the natural backrdop with proper mathematical angles and curves. The lower two floors are enclosed in river-cycled waterfall walls, with visitors becoming witness to the liquid architecture engulfed in the noise and flow of the water, which also works as sustainable form of air conditioning.

BMW will be using the Olympic Pavilion to showcase its all new green technologies, which we guess could include the i3 electric city car, i8 plug-in performance hybridand the i Pedelec folding scooter. According to Serie the sustainable BMW pavilion is there stay even after the Olympics.
