    Thanko Japan has unveiled the iBlueTub docking station for the iPod which uses 2 Philips “6922″ vacuum tubes with a frequency of 20Hz – 30kHz, 80db which deliver an output of 12W x 2 ch. The vacuum tubes with a removable cover and when operational a Blue LED lights up giving a cool glow around the amplifier. The iBlueTub is compatible with iPod (3rd gen) and iPod Nano it is equipped with a USB terminal for transferring files from the PC and it also charges the iPod when docked. As for external connections the dock has a USB terminal, S-video out for viewing iPod video files on the TV and RCA stereo out. The iBlueTub comes with a fully functional remote control.


    The unit measures 295 x 130 x 68mm and weighs 650 grams it will be available in Japan by August end for 64,800 Yen ($ 565) with a pair of JBL speakers.
