• Video: iPhone case deflects .50 caliber bullet!

  • Who’d want to shoot an iPhone? No one! But then you never know when you’d need the case and its solid body to protect you from a gunshot. One Richard Ryan has decided that this is reason enough to go ahead and test the Marudai bulletproof iPhone case against a speeding .50 caliber bullet. Now, we all know that the .50 cal does well to penetrate concrete on more instances than not. Ryan used a Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle to test the durability of the case and it has already become a YouTube hit, since the bullet was actually deflected by the solid case.

Speaking of solid, the Marudai case weighs about 4.6 pounds and costs a whopping $665. The video reveals the impact of the shot on the case as it’s tossed far away but hey, it stands up to the powerful shot without damage!
